There are 23 million child brides in India which account for 40 percent of child brides globally.
India is famous for ensuring large number of child brides (before 18 years).
More than 50% early marriages are reported from states like Bihar (64%), Jharkhand (60%), Rajasthan (58%), Andhra (56%), Bengal(53%), Madhya Pradesh (53%), Uttar Pradesh (52%) and Chhattisgarh (51%).
When and how do we tackle this social issue?
