Living different lives in one life

A person performs multiple roles in different periods of his/ her lifetime. The person transforms in shape and size, age and activity, thought and action, work and leisure, income and expenditure, day and night till death. Many a time the person's thought is not consistent but keeps changing depending on the perception of a thing but sufficiently influenced by self interest, however high or low that individual might be.  That is the reality.

The concept of moral or immoral changes with the times, points out former diplomat and Governor of West Bengal, Gopal Krishna Gandhi at a talk in Chennai, Narayani Ganesh reports:

" Today adultery is not looked down upon but cheating is. This is a moral advance. Today sexual freedom is welcomed, but cheating on the spouse is unacceptable. The same goes for alcohol and tobacco use. What is not accepted today is sexual misconduct and domestic abuse under the influence of alcohol, not the consumption of alcohol itself"

Gandhi adds that individual, social and national morality is interrelated,; honesty links all three. "Today hypocrisy is culprit No. 1; hypocrisy should be brought to account quickly."

Attack on the press-persons

A terror attack on the office of a weekly magazine known for sarcastic cartoons and located in Paris killing some ten print media persons including the editor and two policemen two days ago by Alqaida group has been planned and executed with professional skill and committed jihadis.

Subsequent attacks on the following two days in different locations of Paris with the two original attackers still untraceable by the police exposes the vulnerability of law enforcing authorities even in the capital of France, a formidable force in Europe.

When a group of individuals or an unlawful organisation is bent upon unleashing terrorism and killing human beings without any qualm or remorse, hardly anyone can stop it anywhere in any set up or place. Islamist groups are indulging in such acts fearlessly and inhumanly, thanks to their upbringing and brainwashing.

21st Century citizens of our earthen globe have to live with this phenomenon for a few decades to come!
